2026 Spring Cheer

The 2026 Cheer Program, in collaboration with the Northern Arizona Avengers Football and Cheer, is designed to cultivate passion, skill, and team spirit among young athletes in the Northern Arizona region. This year, we've revamped our program to bring more energy, more inclusivity, and more high-flying excitement than ever before.

This season, our Cheer Program is offering two distinct group options to cater to the diverse ages and skill levels of our participants, ages 5-14, based on registration numbers. This approach ensures that each cheerleader is placed in a setting that best suits their age, experience, and family connections to our football teams.

Both groups are integral to our 2026 Cheer Program and offer unique opportunities for growth, camaraderie, and skill development. We encourage parents and cheerleaders to choose the group that best aligns with their age, experience, and family connections within the Northern Arizona Avengers Football and Cheer community. Practice for both cheer groups will be the same days/times just separated in two groups. Many activities and special events may be held together as one large Cheer group throughout the season as well.

Program Highlights:

Skilled Training: Our experienced cheerleading coaches will introduce participants to the fundamentals, while also emphasizing advanced techniques for our more seasoned cheerleaders.
Inclusive Participation: We believe in the power of inclusivity. Whether you're a beginner or have been cheering for years, our program welcomes enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Community Engagement: Apart from cheering during games, our squads will also have the opportunity to participate in community events, parades, and showcases, emphasizing the importance of community involvement.
Physical Fitness and Wellbeing: Our training regimen focuses not just on cheer skills, but also on overall physical fitness, flexibility, and mental well-being. Participants will engage in exercises that promote stamina, strength, and mindfulness.
Team Building Activities: We'll be hosting a series of team bonding activities, workshops, and retreats to foster camaraderie and unity among squad members.
Safety First: Safety is our top priority. Our coaches are trained in safety protocols, ensuring every stunt and routine is executed with utmost care.

We are excited to announce that our cheerleaders will be receiving a comprehensive uniform package this season, designed to enhance their experience and team identity. However, please note the following important updates regarding the uniform components:

Uniform Rentals: The skirt and shell top are season rentals. It is crucial that these items be returned at the end of the season. We will take care of dry cleaning the uniforms after they are returned.
Deposit Requirement: A deposit of $150 is required at the time of uniform pick-up. This will be in the form of a post-dated check, which will not be cashed unless the skirt and shell are not returned by 5/31/2026.

The uniform package includes:

Uniform: The skirt and top shell (both season rentals), along with a long-sleeve half shirt, thoughtfully designed for comfort and performance.
Accessories: To add vibrancy to the ensemble, cheerleaders will receive an large red bow, white bow, and pom poms.
Footwear: Each cheerleader will receive white socks and white shoes, offering both support and style for every routine.

Additionally, we are pleased to offer competitive opportunities for those interested in more than sideline cheer. We will be participating in various optional competitions. Please note that these competitions are not included in the base price. However, we will provide opportunities for fundraising to support these endeavors.
