Q: When can I register for the upcoming season?
A: Registration for Spring Football 2024 is now open thru August 10th, 2024.
Q: When will official practices start?
A: The official practice kicks off July 22nd, 2024. Coaches will provide specifics on the schedule once field allocations are set after May 20th.
Q: What's the age eligibility for registering with the NAZ Avengers?
A: Players should be aged between 4 and 14 by August 1st, 2024 and must not be enrolled in High School.
Q: Are there weight restrictions for players?
A: We have no set minimum or maximum weight limits for our players.
Q: Do players need a medical check-up before playing?
A: Yes.Family 1st Primary Care will be conducting Sports Physicals for NAZ Avengers on Thursday, August 8th, 2024 from 4-6pm for $25 cash. AIA Form must be completed prior to arrival. You may also use your own healthcare provider if you wish.
Q: How do I request a refund?
A: For refunds, kindly email Jesse Wagner at [email protected]. If your uniform has already been customized and ordered you may not receive a refund. Please send us an email to inquire.
Q: On which days are matches scheduled?
A: Games are organized on Saturdays only. Our Jamboree is scheduled for 8/17. Our regular season games are scheduled 8/24 thru 10/12. Our Playoffs are 10/19 and 10/26 with Championships scheduled for 11/2. Cheer competition is 11/9 and if your child is selected All Stars is being held on 11/16.
Q: Can you provide information on practice locations and timings?
A: Practices take place at Bob Edward Park, Antelope Park, and Mountain Valley Park. Occasionally we might practice at Bradshaw Mountain High School, Prescott High School, or another local park. Your respective coach will share the specific details through the Team Reach App once you are enrolled for the season.
Q: How can I reach out to my child's coach?
A: After registration, you'll be added to a Team Reach group chat. Through this, you can directly communicate with coaches and other team parents.
Q: When will equipment be distributed?
A: Dates are yet to be finalized but expect them around early August or just after our 2 week mandatory Boot Camp (starts July 22nd).
Q: What equipment does the club provide and what do I need to bring?
A: We encourage players to purchase their own helmets and pads but for a rental fee we can rent this equipment to you. Custom Jerseys are provided as are integrated football pants. Players should come with cleats, extra mouth guards, water, and most importantly, a positive attitude!
Q: How are the teams formed?
A: Teams are assembled based on the age of the players as of August 1st, 2024.
Tiny Mites: 4-6 year olds
Mighty Mites: 6-8 year olds
Minors: 9-11 year olds
Majors: 12-14 year olds
Q: What if we're planning a vacation during the season?
A: That's fine! Just ensure you inform your coach and Team Parent in advance. If you miss mandatory Boot Camp you will be required to complete 10 hours of conditioning and 8 hours of padded practice before you can begin regular practices with the team.
Q: What league is the NAZ Avengers apart of?
A: We joined Northern Arizona Youth Football League for Fall 2024. If we get enough registrations we will form a select team in AYFL or Arizona Supreme. Details and invitation to follow if we end up going this route.

Q: How far do the teams usually travel for games?
A: The season generally includes 4 home games and 4 away games. Away games are often held in locations such as Prescott, Chino Valley, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Williams, Kingman, Paige, Wickenburg, and other nearby areas. Our aim is to balance staying local with the opportunity to engage in competitive play against diverse teams.
Q: Why is my child not getting more game time?
A: Everyone will get game day play time. The minimum play time guaranteed is 4 snaps per game. Additional Game time is not guaranteed and will be determined by a combination of factors including effort, attendance, skill level, and importantly, safety. Each player's well-being is our top priority, and we assess their readiness to ensure they can safely enjoy the game. We encourage you to have a conversation with the coach about your child's progress. The coach can offer a player evaluation and collaborate with both the child and parent to develop a constructive plan for improvement and increased participation in a safe and positive manner.
